These Hants and Dorset open-toppers gave sterling service and were unusual in having bodies older than the chassis.  The Bristol K6A chassis was new in 1944 but the Brush full-front body was built in 1938.  See my early South Wales collection for a picture of one of these in service in Merthyr Tydfil two months after this rally.Previous | NextLondon Transport built their own bodies on these diminutive rear-engined Leyland Cub RECs.
